Our Story...

OUr Story begins...

In 1980 Miss Lois purchased Dance Dimensions from her dance teacher, Lera Rae. Prior to buying the studio, Miss Lois, or Mrs. Ulrich as she was lovingly known, was the Lancerette Director at Alter High School for 15 years. She retired from Alter in 1980 in order to purchase Dance Dimensions. She handed down her love of dance along with Lera Rae’s theory to her daughters Andrea & Lisa.  When Andrea and Lisa were young they studied with Lera Rae and then later with their mom. Miss Lois retired in 2014, after having taught dance for over 60 years! Today, the studio is run by her daughters Andrea (Ulrich) Ogg and Lisa (Ulrich) Walters, along with her granddaughter Becky (Ulrich) Blake.  They continue her legacy by passing on the love of dance to their students.

Andrea Ulrich Ogg
Co-Owner and Secretary

Andrea started dancing at the age of four with Lera Rae and continues ladies ballet and tap classes still today. After teaching all types of dance for 27 years, Miss Andrea has now taken over the desk.  She is happy to answer any questions, while passing out suckers and receiving hugs from dancers! Miss Andrea is part-owner of Dance Dimensions having acquired the love of dance from her mom, Miss Lois. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends and traveling to visit her married children and their families.

Becky Ulrich Blake
Co-Owner and Teacher

Becky inherited her love of dance from her grandma, Miss Lois, when she started dancing at age three. Her favorite types of dance are jazz and tap. She loves to teach dance because she loves getting the girls excited about dance and seeing their smiling faces and creativity every week.  Becky started teaching at Dance Dimensions in 2007 and is now part owner  of the studio with her two aunts.  When Becky is not dancing she is working at the Hamburger Wagon in Miamisburg, and she enjoys being outside boating among other outdoor activities and spending time with her two children.

Lisa Ulrich Walters
Co-Owner and Teacher

Lisa has been dancing since the age of three. She began dancing under Lera Rae and then studied with her mother, Miss Lois. She enjoys teaching all types of dance but her passion is teaching younger children ballet.  In her classes she strives to instill discipline while having fun with dance. Lisa is part owner of Dance Dimensions and has been teaching at the studio since 1988. When Miss Lisa is not teaching, you can find her working as an oncology nurse or spending her time surrounded by her sweet grandchildren! There is never a dull moment in her fun and rewarding life.

Lauren Cushman Buehrle
Teacher

Lauren has been dancing since the age of five, having shown an early love for tap in particular. To this day, her favorite style of dance is, to no surprise, tap! She has been teaching at Dance Dimensions since 2004, and she has sincerely enjoyed being part of a family owned studio with an inclusive, friendly environment and a focus on sharing the love of dance. Lauren also choreographed several musicals for Alter High School from 2004-2008, including Godspell, Seussical, Little Shop of Horrors, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Outside of dance, Lauren works as an occupational therapist and enjoys music, travel, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Danielle has been dancing since she was two years old and has been teaching at Dance Dimensions since 2007. Ever since she was five, ballet has been (and still is) her favorite type of dance. When she was younger Miss Danielle trained with the Dayton Ballet School and performed in the Dayton Ballet's Nutcracker for seven years. She then spent two years performing as a member of Gem City Ballet. More recently, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training. When she's not dancing, you can find Miss Danielle at the yoga studio or at home, watching movies with her grandma, cuddling her cat, or playing with with her goddaughter.
